Due to a scheduling conflict we have rescheduled the Jack Layton Luncheon to November 6 (originally scheduled for September 6).  If you were booked for the original date we will contact you to confirm your attendance.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.  Click here for details  or  print this form to book your seats.

Major Events Booked For 2008
It might seem like a long time off (and it is) but now is the time to mark your calendar for next year's major Chamber events.  Our Economic Forecast is on January 30, the Business Awards Gala is on May 8, 2008 and our Golf Tournament is June 19, 2008.  Check out all our upcoming events on our newly renovated online Chamber Events Calendar.

Seminar Series Has Full Slate Of Topics
The Chamber's popular Lunch & Learn seminar series has a full slate of topics right to the end of the year.  Topics range from Successful Hiring Strategies to Maximizing the Value of Your Business to Successful Client RetentionFor details on these seminars and more visit our Seminars page  or  print this form to register.

Dollar Impact and Energy Saving Practices
Over half of respondents said the high Canadian dollar will have a negative impact on their business.  Only ten percent said it will have a positive impact.  Our July Quick Poll asks "Does your office implement energy saving practices in the summer?"  Click here to answer the Quick Poll.

Member Discounts Continue To Grow
The Chamber's Member-to-Member discount program continues to grow with several new discounts being added in the past month.  This program benefits Chamber members in two ways.  First, you can save your company money by buying goods and services at discounted prices.  Second, you can increase your sales by offering a discount and drawing in new customers.  Check out all the discounts on our Member Discount page.

Chamber Website Visits Reaches Record High
The Burlington Chamber website had over 40,000 visitors in June.  While this might seem low compared to other websites that quote 300,000 or 400,000 HITS each month,  40,000 VISITS is actually a more accurate measure of website activity.  Hits is a measure of the number of files (pictures, tables) that are opened when a page is visited, (the Burlington Chamber website registers over 400,000 hits each month) but visits is a measure of the number of people who open a web page.  The number of people who have visited the Burlington Chamber website has increased from 1,800 in June of 2004 to 40,000 in June 2007

Hamilton Business After Business
