Luncheon With The Honourable Jack Layton

What Was He Thinking?
In 2005, Jack Layton led changes in the federal budget including replacing reductions in corporate taxes with investment in infrastructure, housing and transit.  Why did he do it?  Why not ask him yourself.  At our November 6 Luncheon with Jack Layton, hear his views on jobs, health care and education.  Mr. Layton will take your questions so ask him about issues that are important to your business.  Click here for details.

Communications Archive
The Chamber office often receives phone calls asking about the contents of previous REVIEW magazines, eNews, Impact on Business and other communications pieces.  In response to these requests, we have created an online Communications ArchiveAnd, if you were considering advertising in any of these media, keep in mind that your ad now has a much longer 'shelf life' since it will be accessed online for months after the original issue.

Where Will the Looney Land?
A survey of business leaders predicts the looney will stabilize at 96 cents US but the optimum level is 87 cents.  This same group agrees that the Bank of Canada should not increase interests rates and that Canada should not adopt the US currency as its own.  Click here for full survey results.
