Committee Participation.  Get Involved!

We need YOUR help. Review the mandates of our committees and task forces, and see where you would like to contribute.  Indicate your preferences (up to three) and submit this to the Chamber office.

All our Committees meet monthly (with no meetings in July and August) at 8:00 a.m. for approximately one hourMany have subcommittees assigned to specific tasks so that work can be accomplished between committee meetingsTask Forces generally plan and implement specific Chamber events (like our Golf Tournament and Curling Bonspiel) and may meet less frequently, depending on specific objectives.

Communications Committee
To maintain communications externally with members and internally between committees.

Health Committee

To monitor, examine and develop positions on local, provincial and federal health issues affecting Burlington businesses.

Membership Committee
To enhance the Chamber's market position and membership; to maintain the Chamber's membership; and, to monitor the needs and opinions of the membership.

Programs Committee
To develop and implement quality programs and networking opportunities to enhance members' business prospects.

Political Action Committee
To monitor, examine and develop positions on local, provincial and federal issues affecting Burlington businesses.
  Includes development, infrastructure and transportation issues.

Business Awards Task Force
To recognize local business with Business Excellence Awards presented annually in May
at the Business Awards GalaMeetings as scheduled (September through March)

Golf Tournament Task Force
To plan the annual golf tournament held in June.
  Meetings as scheduled (February through June)

Christmas Party Task Force

To plan the annual Small Business Christmas PartyMeetings as scheduled (March through November)

 

Curling Bonspiel Task Force

To plan the annual Curling BonspielMeetings as scheduled (September through January)
